Ring-Billed Gull (Larus delawarensis)

The Ring-Billed Gull is a medium sized gull (Family: Laridae, Order:Charandriiformes) found near water, quite often forming large flocks. The gulls are found near human residence and are known for its adaptations to man-induced habitat changes. As the name suggests, a black band encircles the bill of the Ring-Billed Gull. It has a white body and gray wings.

The gulls have well-developed wings and they are good fliers. The black portions of the wings form a black "tail" when folded (the real tail feathers are white).

The eye rims of the adult gulls are orange-red whileas the juvenile and the first-year gulls have black eyes and eye rims.
